The Halcyon Stainless Steel Backplate is engineered for divers who demand exceptional stability, durability, and comfort from their backplate and wing system. Precision CNC-machined from high-grade polished 304 stainless steel, this premium backplate provides integrated ballast that improves underwater trim while maintaining the streamlined profile Halcyon is known for.

Designed for recreational, technical, cave, and expedition diving, the stainless steel backplate offers an ideal balance of weight and ergonomics, making it especially well suited for cold-water, drysuit, and technical diving where additional integrated ballast is beneficial. Carefully contoured bends position the cylinder close to the diver's center of gravity, improving balance and reducing fatigue throughout the dive.

Each backplate is individually polished with carefully milled edges to eliminate sharp corners, protecting harness webbing while improving comfort during extended dives. Precision-cut harness slots accommodate standard continuous-webbing harness systems, while integrated utility holes allow attachment of the Halcyon MC Storage Pak, lift devices, and the Halcyon Drysuit Inflation Kit.
