The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course is designed to help you become a more capable, confident diver through real-world experience and exciting new underwater adventures. You don't need to be an "advanced" diver to enroll—this course is designed to advance your diving immediately after earning your Open Water certification.

At Orange County Divers, you'll explore new dive environments, improve your diving abilities, and gain valuable experience under the guidance of experienced PADI Instructors while diving some of Southern California's premier underwater sites.

Experience Adventure Diving

Instead of spending hours in a classroom, you'll learn by diving.

Throughout the course you'll complete five Adventure Dives, each designed to introduce new diving skills and environments.

Your course includes the two required Adventure Dives:

• Deep Adventure Dive
• Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive

You'll then choose three additional Adventure Dives based on your interests. Popular options include:

• Peak Performance Buoyancy
• Boat Diver
• Night Diver
• Fish Identification
• Search & Recovery
• Drift Diver
• Wreck Diver
• Underwater Naturalist

Each dive helps build confidence while introducing new techniques you'll use throughout your diving career.

Course Prerequisites

To enroll, you must:
