Description

The Halcyon Defender™ Pro Safety Spool is a rugged, precision-engineered spool designed for dependable deployment of delayed surface marker buoys (DSMBs), navigation, and a variety of technical diving applications. Constructed from virtually indestructible solid Delrin®, the Defender Pro delivers smooth handling, exceptional durability, and reliable performance dive after dive.

Unlike traditional open-center spools, the Defender Pro features a solid center core that reduces overall size while eliminating the risk of fingers becoming trapped during rapid deployment. This compact design improves portability, streamlines storage, and allows for easier handling with gloves in cold-water or technical diving environments.

Each spool is pre-rigged with highly visible #24 braided line and includes a marine-grade stainless steel double-ended bolt snap, providing everything needed for immediate use. Available in 100 ft (30 m), 150 ft (45 m), and 200 ft (60 m) lengths, the Defender Pro easily adapts to recreational, technical, decompression, cave, and wreck diving applications.

For divers who require additional flexibility, the Defender Pro can also be upgraded with an optional adapter that allows the spool to be retrofitted for expanded functionality.
